Can I borrow a laptop and hotspot from the library?
Answer
The PCC Library offers hotspots and two types of laptop lending for PCC students: one-day Chromebook checkouts, and semester-long Chromebook or Windows laptop checkouts.
1. Short-term Chromebook checkout: You may check out a Chromebook for the day at the Lab Desk on the lower level of the Library. You may take the Chromebook anywhere on campus. Please return the Chromebook to the Library before we close for the day. Checkout instructions are below.
2. Semester-long checkout of laptops: The library currently has Chromebooks and Windows laptops for semester loan to currently enrolled students at no cost. These are a limited supply and are first-come, first served. Checkout instructions are below.
To check out a device for the semester from the PCC Library:

3. Hotspots:
Currently enrolled PCC students can check out a new T-Mobile Internet Hotspot from PCC Shatford Library starting on Monday, January 6th, 2025. These new T-Mobile hotspots will be loaned out and are expected to be returned to the library at the end of the term or on the due date specified by the library. There is no cost to check out a T-Mobile hotspot.
