Can I print or scan at the library?

Answer

Print & Scan

During our open hours, you can stop by the library if you need to print or scan materials on campus. Use the information below to find out more on where and how to use these services in the library.

Printing

Printing is available in the library through the campus-wide Wēpa system. Print stations are located on the Main and Lower levels of the library. Black & white and color printing are both available. Please visit the Wēpa webpage for more information, or visit the library’s Lab Desk on the Lower Level for assistance.

Scanning

Book scanners are available on the Main Level of the library, across from the Circulation Desk. Scans can be saved to your own USB flash drive, your Google Drive account, or to your smartphone (using a QR code you scan with your phone). There is no charge for using the scanners. If you wish to scan and then print, first do the scanning, then open the resulting file on a lab computer or your own device. Next, print the desired page(s). Printing your scan at the library will incur Wēpa printing costs.

Copyright Restrictions

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S. Codes) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. We are able to furnish you with a photocopy or reproduction under the condition that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.” If you make a request for or use a photocopy reproduction for purposes in excess of “fair use,” you may be liable for copyright infringement.
