My hotspot stopped working. What do I do?

Answer

If you have a T-Mobile Internet Hotspot checked out in 2025, and it is not working, please refer to the instructions provided to you along with the hotspot, or bring your hotspot to the PCC Help Desk (LL-120).

All California Connects Hotspots that were given out to students from the PCC Shatford Library in 2020-2024 will lose their data plan on December 31st, 2024, and will no longer provide internet access. If you still need an internet hotspot, you have two options available to you:

  1. Currently enrolled PCC students can check out a new T-Mobile Internet Hotspot from PCC Shatford Library starting on Monday, January 6th, 2025. These new T-Mobile hotspots will be loaned out and are expected to be returned to the library at the end of the term or on the due date specified by the library. There is no cost to check out a T-Mobile hotspot. More information can be found here: https://pasadena.libanswers.com/faqs/faq/319648

  2. If you are no longer a PCC student and would like to continue using your existing California Connects Hotspot, you can renew the data plan on your hotspot using the following link: https://store.collegebuys.org/product/california-connects-monthly-subscription/. The cost is $19.99 per month and you would need to pay all ongoing costs.
